Conservation

The passage of the 2002 Farm Bill created many opportunities for those interested in conservation.  Currently, we handle all the seed mixes that are used in following programs.   And we are licensed to sell those mixes in a majority of the states in the Midwest.  The following is a current list of some of the more popular conservation programs.

Conservation Reserve Program (CRP):  Allows cost share up to 50% of the seed cost in addition to annual         payments for retiring cropland for a specified amount of time.
Continuous Conservation Reserve Program (CCRP):  Similar to CRP, but with a less competitive                 ongoing signup.  Often, the cost share amount exceeds 50%.
Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program (CREP):  Allows you to receive payments for performing         specific conservation practices.
Environmental Quality Incentive Program (EQIP):  Cost share available to those interested in improving         the quality of the environment.
Grassland Reserve Program (GRP):  Cost share up to 90% and annual payments for restorations of grassland.
Wetlands Reserve Program (WRP):  Cost share up to 100% to maintain or restore wetlands on a given                 person's property.
Wildlife Habitat Incentive Program (WHIP): Cost share up to 75% to improve for wildlife habitat.
